We don’t usually take tours, but taking a private tour of this extremely historical city brought everything to life for us and was absolutely fascinating. There was just too much history for us to delve into alone. Yaron was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and gave us lots of flexibility which was great with 2 young kids. There was also plenty he included to keep the kids engaged. I highly recommend read less

Our small group of 5 people had only one day to visit/experience the most important holy sites in Jerusalem, and Yaron was able to facilitate this. We were delighted we found Yaron; he has extensive knowledge of history and local customs. His energy and sense of humor appealed to everyone in our group. It was a very informative and enjoyable day! I highly recommend everyone to hire Yaron. read less

My 21 year old son said it best our time with him was like touring the sites with a very knowledgeable friend. There are not enough characters allowed to fully describe our experience. It was fabulous. Yaron is an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable, extremely caring and a lot of fun. He took us to all of the places we wanted to see and explained all the history in a meaningful and impactful way. Our time with him was very well spent! His love for Israel and the history of the Israeli people is evident. read less

He is incredibly knowledgeable, and knows the best places to take you, and also how to pace each day so they are not too tiring.  He worked hard up front to learn really about each person in our family so he can relate all of the sights more directly to each one of us.  He was very insightful as to the types of sights we would want to see, and how to make they trip memorable.  He also was repeatedly taking family pictures for us (with our permission) and sending us the photos each night to enjoy.

He found sights we would not have found on our own, small local restaurants with unbelievable cuisine we never would have found.  I could not recommend My Israel Guide more highly.  We typically travel without a group or guide, and in Israel you can see so much more with a guide, plus driving can be a challenge, and it was great to have someone else do the driving and directing. 

We also loved that the tours were geared to each member of our family, and Yaron introduced us to local people we met along the way, whether they were soldiers, restaurant owners, or people offering us tastes of their mother’s Turkish coffee.  It allowed to to really learn about the local culture.  We had so many memorable experiences we would not have had otherwise.

I wish I could have given the trip 6 stars but TripAdvisor only allows 5 stars. read less

He is a kind, considerate and super knowledgeable of Israel and makes the tour fun and informative. We visited the Masada National Park and the Dead Sea with Yaron and we had the best time with him. His car is comfortable and he gives you all the time you need, never felt rushed, never felt forced, just pure enjoyment for the day. I would recommend Yaron and My Israel Guide for any tour of Israel. Highly recommend. read less

Yaron is a very nice person and his company made it a very pleasant and unforgettable journey. He is unbelievably well prepared and was able to give us the big historical picture of everything he showed to us. Also his ability to put us in the historical context, circumstances, the political framework and the situation of the people in the relevant time epochs made the whole experience even more dramatic and unique. Also Yaron was able to bring us to special places, negotiated for us, took care, found gorgeous restaurants, booked them for us, managed transport, let us skip the lines and gave us so much additional benefits. Our tour group had a person who required a lot of patience and understanding, and Yaron provided that.

The itinerary he had set up for our 6-7 person group was perfect and allowed to experience quite a bit in a relatively short time.

We had a fantastic day which started with a climb up Masada to watch the sunrise, followed by a dip at Ein Gedi and a float in the Dead Sea. He was very knowledgeable and kept our children engaged the whole time, slightly tweaking the day as it went on to maintain their enjoyment. His patience and enthusiasm were incredible, especially considering we were on the road at 2am!! Thank you so much Yaron - we all loved our day with you. Yaron was extremely knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. During the visit, his narrations / explanations were excellent. He even brought with him a New Testament, so we can review the scriptures while visiting the holy sites.  He was timely, knowledgeable, kind and very attentive throughout our day. 

We visit Israel every 6 months and plan to make tours with Hovav a part of each visit. He is INCREDIBLE!!!! read less
