Meet Our Founder
A born-and-raised Israeli native, Yaron Hovav has been in the travel industry since 2010 with the goal of providing travel experiences that change people's lives for the better. While Yaron went to university to earn his bachelor's degree, he worked as a local guide in a small history museum in the Jordan Valley and fell in love with guiding. Later on, Yaron worked as a concierge at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem for five years where he learned about hospitality at the highest levels. After working as a private tour guide for several years, Yaron launched My Israel Guide in 2015. Now with almost fifteen years of tourism experience, Yaron is thrilled to offer his passionate, hand-crafted approach to tourism. Working closely with his clients, he has never run the same trip twice. Yaron works only with providers he knows and trusts, using the connections he has built over the years to ensure an uncommonly personal level of quality and reliability.
